Reflector: This special thing is fitted in the reflector, so the light is visible from a distance even in low light

During your journey, you must have seen reflectors installed on the side of the highway. Due to these reflectors, it is easy for the driver to drive on the roads at night. Due to the distance of the road being visible, the possibility of road accidents is reduced due to these lights. But do you know what is installed in these reflectors, which makes their light visible even from a distance. Today we will tell you why the reflector shines.

Reflector Light

There is darkness on the roads at night. Due to which the driver cannot see the sharp turns on the sides and ahead of the road. In such a situation, the driver gets an idea of the road due to the reflector lights installed on the road. At the same time, these lights remain off during the day and they are on at night. Now the question is what is there in these reflectors that they shine at night.

Types of reflectors

Let us tell you that there are two types of reflectors. The first is active reflector and the second is passive reflector. The reflectors that shine when the light of the vehicle falls on them in the dark are called passive reflectors. There is a strip of radium on both sides of the passive reflector. When the bright light of the vehicle falls on it during the dark, it starts shining. Due to which the driver feels it as if it is lit. On the other hand, there is no electricity of any kind in the passive reflector. They shine only when light falls on them, because there is a strip of radium attached to it. Whenever light falls on the strip of radium, it shines.

Active reflector

Apart from this, the second reflector is called active reflector. Active reflector runs on electricity. If it does not get electricity, it will not shine. These days these reflectors are installed on highways. These reflectors have a solar panel and battery. During the day, when sunlight falls on it, the solar panel generates electricity and charges the battery. As soon as the sun sets in the evening, the same battery sends electricity to the circuit installed in the reflectors and the LED installed in the reflector starts blinking i.e. starts lighting up and dimming. This is how the reflectors installed on the highway light up. If these reflectors do not get electricity, they will look like bicycle pedals and there will be no light in them.
